This syndication is designed for the those wanting to experience the bluewater cruising lifestyle without the hefty price tag and R&M bills. It allows owners to escape the Winter and enjoy the stunning cruising grounds of Fiji, as well as enjoy some shorter times aboard cruising the Bay of Islands.
The vessel will be based at Musket Cove in Fiji from May to November and Opua from December to April each year. The annual costs have considered professional relocation, however owners can reduce this cost by completing passages themselves.

With a total budget of $780k (including relocation and upgrades) we have the ability to acquire a proven, capable and well maintained blue water cruiser catamaran from anywhere in the South Pacific.

Vessel selection is focusing on proven liveaboard cruising setup, accommodations for at least 8pax, and all the liveaboard and cruising features one would expect.
​
Likely vessels include Catana 47, Lagoon 450, FP Saona 47, Leopard 46. Preference will be given to maintenance history and improvements, over age, but the vintage is expected to be mid 00's to mid 10's.

USE PERIODS:
Owners are entitled to 56 days per annum. One pre-selected block of 21 days in Fiji and one pre-selected block of 10 days in New Zealand. The remaining 25 days is available to be booked anytime after the pre-selections are completed, or can be used casually if the vessel is available.

STAGE:
We have already received a number of expressions of interest in this syndication. A couple of parties are ready to proceed and once we have near to six, we will proceed with vessel selection, with the potential owners input.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:

This is a large vessel operating in some challenging areas. When the vessel is in use a 'Named Skipper' must be in charge of the vessel at all times. A Named Skipper will be listed on the entities insurance policy and will have to satisfy the insurer of their experience and / or qualifications. Formal qualifications are not required, but some are helpful. Note that the Named Skipper does not need to be the owner, so an owner can nominate someone else.
