45-55ft Alloy Motor Vessel
SEEKING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
This syndication is designed for the salty dogs amongst us, that are interested in exploring, fishing, spearfishing, diving and hunting some of New Zealand's most beautiful parts of the coast.
The vessel will provide all the comforts expected and will accommodate a couple of families or a group of 8-12 mates, however it won't be a gin palace. We are seeking a vessel that is proven to be extremely safe in these waters, so think alloy work boat, converted trawler. It will come with plenty of toys, and be comfortable for year round use.
Use periods are designed to give owners good access to blocks of time in both season, plus the ability to use spare days (10) to extend their blocks or use it at shorter notice when desired.
The vessel will be based in its own berth in Bluff, however transfers between owners with arrangement can be done at Deep Cove, Milford, Jacksons Bay or Stewart Island.
There is some interest from those already interested to purchase a vessel in Survey. If this is the case, the group can offer any of the unused time to qualified captains for commercial charter (fishing, diving, etc) . In this case owners will also have the ability to pass back some of their own unused time and raise some funds for themselves.
LOCATION: Bluff, Southland
INVESTEMENT: 1/10th @ 50k or 1/5th @100k
ANNUAL COSTS: 5-7k per 10% (First Year covered in purchase)
TERM: 4 Years
USE PERIODS:
Each 10% share holder is entitled to 30 days of use per annum. 10 Days / Nov-Apr Pre-selected. 10 Days / May-Oct Pre-selected. Remaining 10 days can be booked and used anytime after Pre-selection is completed.
STAGE:
We have received over 40 expressions of interest and currently have 7 potential owners who are ready to enter into a S&P Agreement.
We are currently researching and viewing suitable vessels. Most vessel will require some customization, improvement or upgrades at the outset (built into price).

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
This is a large vessel operating in some reasonable serious ocean. When the vessel is in use a 'Named Skipper' must be in charge of the vessel at all times. A Named Skipper will be listed on the entities insurance policy and will have to satisfy the insurer of their experience and / or qualifications. Formal qualifications are not required, but some are helpful. Note that the Named Skipper does not need to be the owner, and their are commercial skippers in the group that can offer themselves for other owners (for a fee) for training or captaining their trips.
